Via BillboardPerhaps somewhat forgotten in the wake of other, young mega-music festivals and Hurricane Katrina forever altering popular perception of New Orleans, the city's annual Jazz Fest, the grandaddy of 'em all, will return the weekends of April 27-29 and May 4-6 for its thirty-eighth installment. For those who don't know, the fest features many more genres than just jazz. Artists who will appear this year who are probably of greatest interest to you are Calexico, Ludacris, Lucinda Williams, Stephen Marley, John Legend, Van Morrison and Jill Scott. Other artists in the eclectic mix include Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, ZZ Top, Steely Dan, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Bonnie Raitt.
