Jay-Z’s ridiculous multifaceted empire just got a little less awe-inspiring. According to Billboard his clothing line ‘Rocawear’ laid off half it’s mens and boys apparel staff on Jan. 6. Apparently 26 of the 56 workers are now unemployed, citing “economic reasons.” Rocawear was started more than a decade ago, in 1999, which is actually a couple years before he ruled the world, who knew? Obviously Jay has a lot of other stuff on his mind, you know, like his baby. It'll be interesting to see if any of his other various enterprises start folding, besides the New Jersey Nets of course.
