Noel Gallagher is facing the less-than enticing proposition of joining Kasabian in the fall-out from the Oasis split, but his younger brother may have some much more exciting news up his sleeve. In a move that is set to anger Noel once again, Jay-Z has announced his intention to work with Liam Gallagher.
"I hear Snoop Dogg might be teaming up with Noel. If that's the case then I would love to work with Liam," Jay-Z said in a recent interview. "Their [Oasis'] music is tight and I think we could blend our styles well. I don't know what he is up to now but he can give me a call."
The hip-hop superstar drew a parallel with his work with Linkin Park, which isn’t likely to appease Liam. "When I teamed up with Linkin Park nobody expected that to work but we made a massive success of it," he said. "The same could happen with Liam." And an indie rock crossover record for Jay-Z just took one step further forward.

When Jay-Z's through the roof stage show meets Oasis's original flavor it'll be a track to remember. Jay-Z's deadly weaponry and battle-ready songs meets UK's brawlers. What do we anticipate? (Jigga plays guitar-he announced that at the Glastonbury Show that he was almost banned from.) A sound thick with guitars and heighty choruses? Jay-Z who embodies the American Dream inspires and fires the weepers of song so how does that hold with Oasis' moody writing? Rhetorical questions which'll only be answered once the song hits airways. Historically, it marks super-stars of defying the atlas to create the duo of the decade.
