If you're an avid fan of Philly rapper Cassidy's music, well, we don't believe you exist. But if we're wrong, then you already know that the Swizz Beatz protege is set to drop his third album, The Barry Adrian Reese Story (B.A.R.S) on November 6th. Trouble is, he'll be joined by some major competition on that date in the form of hip hop standard bearer Jay-Z, who plans to drop his own American Gangster on the same date. So what's a young rapper with a lone gold plaque on his wall to do when faced with competition from a living legend? Sounds like it's time for a great ridiculous rapper quote!
Cassidy told SOHH.com reporters, "I think right now, the way that I got the hood on smash and the way that my song is poppin' off, I don't think it would be a smart decision for Hov to drop on November 6." He then went on to add, "It ain't like when [The Blueprint] Vol. 1 or Vol. 2 was gonna drop, it's a lot different." And it a way, he's right: Most people still have no clue who the hell Cassidy is.
