Your wait at the gate might be slightly less interminable in the near future thanks to Jay-Z, who along with partners Juan and Desiree Perez has struck a deal with a company called Delaware North to bring his upscale 40/40 sports bar/lounge to as many as 20 airports across the U.S.
In a statement, Desiree Perez says, "The 40/40 Club is all about creating first-class experiences for guests who want to relax and watch their favorite games. We want to see our club grow, and to bring those experiences to travelers. A partnership with Delaware North will do just that."
We imagine Hova's latest business venture might flourish most in Portland, Chicago and Las Vegas airports, which are quite lenient when it comes to boozing according to a USA Today report.
Jay-Z opened his flagship 40/40 Club in New York in 2003, but said venue is actually set to close from April to July 2011 to undergo a complete renovation.
