Yesterday, the internet was ablaze with news that Oprah was seen in Brooklyn along side rapper Jay-Z, leading to speculation that Oprah would be deading her long-standing distaste for hip-hop by having Hove on her program. Turns out Oprah was interviewing Jay for a story that will appear in her magazine.

This brings up some interesting questions: Is Jay-Z now an acceptable cover subject to sell women magazines, or are women magazines becoming more hip-hop friendly in the face of declining circulation? What do Jay and Oprah talk about beside the fact that they're both really wealthy? Can Jay really do songs about being a gangster (like say, any song off American Gangster) any more, or is Oprah looking for street cred?
