Jay-Z stops pretending to be retired

Just in case you missed that Entertainment Weekly cover story last Friday, Jay-Z has come clean and admitted that he's working on a new album. Kingdom Come will be out sometime this fall (which is surprising since it's supposedly not even finished yet) and will apparently resemble The Black Album. Here's what we do know:
- Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Eminem have all done production work for the album, and Jay still wants to work with Rick Rubin again as well.
- Chris Martin produced a track as well. No, really. Hova explains: ''We met at a charity dinner and just really kept in touch. He sent me these beautiful chords for this song called 'Beach Chair.' I had Dre put some drums on it. It's really, really incredible.''
- Well, we don't really know much else really. Except that lyrically, he touches on everything from his favorite painting to the death of his nephew.
So what does everyone think? Should Jay have stayed "retired," or will Kingdom Come prove that he's still the best in the game. Leave your comments below.

I want to hear it. How many lyricists are left out there that actually say something meaningful? After NWA, Snoop, Tupac, Biggie, Tribe, there are not many rappers left that lay it down with meaning and ferocity along with a sick beat?

I heard a few tracks from Jay's new album, and from what I hear, the melodies, the beats, and instruments in his songs are on point, and his lyrical content is just as savvy and ear grabbing as it's always been. It doesn't sound like the black album, it sounds like nothing he's ever done, and nothing that's out there already. I don't care what anyone says, or what any critic reviews, Jay-Z is still the King of rap, and when the entire album drops, everyone one else will think so too!

Well, He's done it again, Jigga "WHAT THE FUCK?!"....looking forward to the album with bated breath....the beats will be emmaculate as usual.....he's gets the best from every producer he works with.....and lyrically there is none hotter.....Lupe Fiasco's album and Jay-Z's album will both make runs for best album of the year.....with a slight nod to Chuck Taylor......but trust this will definitely be another stellar lyrical performance from Hov.....so Def Jam.....hurry up and "Give It To Me"!!!! lol
