Jay-Z Raises $1 Million For College Scholarships
Yesterday, we reported that Jay-Z was downplaying his "beef" with Lil Wayne as Hov merely called it part of the "sport" that is rap music. Whatever. Anyway, he spoke on the topic during an interview at a charity event that his Shawn Carter Foundation hosted last Thursday. The goal of the event was to raise $1 million for college scholarships for teenagers in need. And wouldn't you know it, the $1,000-per-ticket affair was successful and will probably be remembered more for doing good than some chatter about a "beef" that doesn't really have any legs right now.
