Though he made his mark as a trendsetting entrepreneur, Jay-Z is set to follow both Madonna and U2 in signing a huge deal with Live Nation. In a deal The Wall Street Journal says will be finalized next week, Jay-Z will receive $150 million for blanket coverage of his recordings, entertainment ventures, and tours for the next ten years. Live Nation will create and fund a company named Roc Nation that will supervise the different aspects of Jay-Z’s music related projects. After selling Rocawear last year and consolidating his interests with Live Nation, maybe Jay-Z can now invest more time in making the Nets a contender.
