Jay-Z Discusses Blueprint 3 Leak

Jay-Z moved fast to control the leak of his upcoming Blueprint 3 this week, even allowing the album to be streamed in full at MTV’s website. The hip-hop star may be busy immersing himself in the “indie rock movement,” but he has also taken time to discuss his feelings on the leak.

"I may be the most bootlegged artist in history," he told MTV. "It's a preview. I'm excited for people to hear the album. I'm very proud of the work I've done, so enjoy it." So that’s the new Jay-Z: he listens to pasty indie rock bands and is totally cool with people leaking his songs on the Internet.

The Blueprint 3 gains an official release on September 11, a date on which the rapper will play a huge show at Madison Square Garden. “The first album came out on this exact day, I was in Los Angeles and couldn't help out physically,” he said. “For it to come full circle and us to be here and play Madison Square Garden and 100 percent of the proceeds going to [the charity]. I'm just humbled by the experience."
