Jay-Z Defends President Obama

President Obama has taken a lot of heat from teabaggers who see socialists hiding behind every bush, disgruntled leftists who view him as too centrist and, arguably, an American populace that just voted a Republican majority into the House of Representatives. Jay-Z, however, remains steadfast in his support. In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, Jay-Z spoke in defense of the president, and pointed out the array of unenviable hand-me-downs Obama received from predecessor George W. Bush.

“In order to judge someone, you have to judge what they inherit. He inherited the worst economy, war, just a horrible time in American history. So if we think he can solve that, I mean, we don't think he's God, do we? He's a human being. He's going to need time to figure that out … In order to get to that sort of success and that dream, you have to go through some peaks and valleys. It's been two years.”

Jay-Z – a vocal supporter of Barack Obama during his presidential bid and attendee of the inaugural ball (his wife sang a couple of songs at the party) – went on to note that the Republican win could ultimately be a “good thing” because the GOP will now “have to be responsible for whether a law gets passed, and they can't put it on Obama.”

Looking past the release of his latest, Decoded, due out November 16, the rapper lightly suggested his own aspirations for heading up the country.

“Give me a chance," Jay-Z told the BBC. "Maybe in eight years, I'll be the president." [BBC Newsbeat]

The only place Jay-Z can go from here, really, is to run for president. This is certainly, definitely going to happen.

So maybe he should have focused on the real issues and not rammed social medicine down everyone's throats as soon as he jumped into office.

jay-z is part of an elite satanic cult who wants to take over the country, according to Youtube.

The Tea Party may be wrong some times but they support real american values at least.

It's true. Bush was in office for 8 years. The people getting mad at him are the ones that voted him into office TWICE. Let's see you take over a job someone had 8 years to demolish and then have people get mad at you for not fixing it in two years. They need to get over themselves and realize they're the cause of this.

Peter Malder's first sentence is the truest, greatest thing I have ever read. Ever.
