Jay-Z And Keith Richards To Give Readings At The New York Public Library

This fall is going to be busy for Jay-Z. Not only is he playing some enormous shows with Eminem, including a two-night stand at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 13 and 14, but he also has a memoir titled Decoded due for publication, which should provide a fascinating reflection on his life and career.

Another star who had an equally intriguing memoir due out—especially as it seems unlikely that his memory is functioning all that well—is Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who will release Life in October. Richards apparently once aspired to be a librarian, which is appropriate because both he and Jay-Z are due to give readings from their books (sadly not together) at the New York Public Library.

Richards will appear on Oct. 29 at the Celeste Bartos auditorium to reflect on his career, while Jay-Z will surface in the same venue on Nov. 15. Amusingly, Jay-Z has recently been looking back on his life by claiming he would have robbed Coldplay singer Chris Martin if he had walked through the Marcy Projects when Hova was younger. There’s still time to make that happen, Jay.

One can tell that the writer of the above info is both young and blatently inexperienced when it comes to describing one of the best Rock and Roll guitarists in history. Perhaps the writer should go to the library on their day off to do some research on the subject.
