Chalk this one up in rumorville, but Different Kitchen has heard rumblings that Jay-Z and Def Jam will go their seperate ways after his contract this year is up. The title of Byron Crawford's post states that Jay-Z is being fired from Def Jam, but to me it sounds more like he's quitting. In addition, the speculation is that Hov will start-up S. Carter Records and that artists are already signed to the label. Seems like a good choice from the man that said, "I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man."
