Jay Reatard's Band Quits

In an announcement on his Twitter early this morning, Jay Reatard announced that his band, who have been touring with him since Blood Visions, quit on him. Here's what Reatard wrote. Sics are all him:

Band quit ! Fuck them ! They are boring rich kids who can't play for ahit anyways .. Say hello to your ugly and boring wifes opps I mean lifes guys suck it

The band quit in between legs of Reatard's tour behind his recently released Matador full-length, Watch Me Fall. No word on how this will affect dates starting next week in Seattle. [via Stereogum]
