Jawbox Considering Tour

Early in October news broke about seminal D.C. post-punk band Jawbox reuniting for a Dec. 8 appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the first time the band has performed live in 12 years. The show will come on the heels of their reissue of the excellent For Your Own Special Sweetheart, courtesy of DeSoto and Dischord, and will be expanded with tracks from the Savory+3 EP.

Now Bassist Kim Coletta tells Billboard that the group will use the appearance as a barometer for working together again. Coletta hinted at the possibility of continuing to tour and possibly recording new material, saying "It would be the coolest thing in the world." While it seems that indie-rock reunions are quickly becoming a late '00s fad, the idea of hearing "FF=66" or "Motorist" one more time is still exciting. [Aversion]
