Jarvis Cocker: Obama coverage "really not fair"

Those who saw Jarvis Cocker perform at the Music Hall in Williamsburg last night got a special treat of vintage Cocker bile before his performance of "Cunts Still Rule The World." Cocker, an outspoken Obama supporter, lambasted the American media for its negative portrayal of Barack Obama. “They’re really taking the piss out of Barack Obama (on the news) and its really not fair,” Cocker yelled. In other news, John McCain's head just exploded.

In case there was any confusion about his anger, Cocker offered this clarification: "What I am saying is kill all those capitalist bastards…and then piss on their ashes." Oh Jarvis, haven't you heard? Marxism is so 1980s. Just ask Band of Horses.

Better yet

The failing American press began fleshing-out their complacent ideology long ago. It would've been nice if Cocker said something more tangible than "piss on them"; perhaps "Good job to the American press in helping Bush package the war. I look forward to more unquestioning accolades that you've been heaping on your new neo-con presidential candidate, you lazy sods. Do your job." Let me know when a musician with balls passes through NYC.

You should care what the rest of the world thinks about US politics becuase you're part of a wider world.

No one needs to take this guy's comments seriously, American or not. Are you saying European countries are less sovereign? Start kissing China's butt if you're into genocide. The U.S. will pretty much be kissing it's own forever I'm afraid.
