Jarvis Cocker Denies Pulp are Getting Back Together

A swift denial has been issued by Jarvis Cocker concerning the rumors of a Pulp reunion. An off-the-cuff remark about the band getting back together for Glastonbury has been widely misinterpreted, and he has moved to set the record straight. Sadly, festival goers will have to wait a while longer for the band’s inevitable return.

The singer was talking to Teletext, a  text-based TV information service in the U.K. "I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together," he said. "Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."

Oh Jarvis, can I say that your last solo album, the vanity project, Further Complications, "categorically" sucks?
I hate nostalgia myself, but I wouldn't mind Pulp reuniting. Snap out of it Jarvis, shave that stupid beard, wash your hair, stop moonlighting as a mandolin playing puppet or a yoga musician, gather the old gang back and reform. (Nope, an occasional hiring of Candida, Steve and Richard Hawley ain't Pulp yet). You ain't got time Jarvis, two years from now you are officially an OAP, it would be creepy for you to sing I Spy, This is Hardcore, Babies and Razmatazz. All that is left for you to sing is "Help the Aged". Reform now, beardo.
