Janet Jackson to Do Dance Tribute to Michael Jackson at this Weekend's VMAs
I was wondering at what point we'd hear that a tribute to Michael Jackson was being planned for this weekend's VMAs, considering Michael Jackson did more to legitimize MTV as a real network than all the reality shows they've been airing in the last ten years have combined. It turns out the tribute will involve 20 backup dancers and Janet Jackson doing a dance tribute to Michael, and will apparently be some kind of monster medley of his hits. Expect lighted sidewalks, moonwalks galore and faux Egyptian get-ups a la "Remember the Time."
The VMAs air on MTV this Sunday, Sept. 13, at 8 p.m. EST. [Idolator]
