Janet Jackson Appears at Flash Mob in Los Angeles (Video)

What better way to promote a new album than by gathering a flash mob? Someone on Janet Jackson’s staff hit on this unusual idea on the eve of the release of her greatest hits package, Number Ones. The three flash mobs happened in Los Angeles this past Saturday (Nov. 14), and were promoted by the Flash Mob America Twitter feed.

The video above documents the mob action, which began with a bunch of fans dancing to a medley of Jackson’s hits. The singer herself emerged on a balcony, but was initially unseen by the dancing fans. Naturally, the mob gives her a rapturous reception when they finally realize just who that is watching them.
