Perry Farrell's brainchild will be branching out from its Chicago comfort zone this year as Lollapalooza is heading to Chile with Jane's Addiction, the Killers and Kanye West all in tow.
The first-ever non-North American Lolla fest will take place on April 2-3 at O'Higgins Park in Santiago. Farrell, who will also be performing with his wife as electronic outfit PerryEtty, says in a statement, "Our ambition is to plant a very strong seed in Chile. One that will grow over the years, and provide Santiago with an event for the ages."
Joining the marquee acts on the Chile bill is a, shall we say, eclectic lineup that includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Flaming Lips, the National, Cold War Kids, Deftones, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fatboy Slim, Cypress Hill, Ben Harper, 311 and Fischerspooner. Event info is available here. [via Spinner]
