Jane's Addiction has been forced to cancel the Australian leg of its tour after Stephen Perkins was admitted to the infectious diseases unit of Cedar Sinai Medical Center with an infection in his elbow. Perkins is expected to fully recover from the infection, but is undergoing a heavy course of antibiotics to fight it. No timetable has been set for Perkins' return to the band or whether the shows will be made up at a later date. The band recently finished a tour in the United States co-headlining with Nine Inch Nails. Speaking to everbody down under, I can only say that it was really awesome. Hopefully Perry and the boys will still feel like touring once the elbow heals up. [NME]
