Jamie Foxx caught a lot of news earlier this week when he went off "humoruously" about Miley Cyrus, calling her a "little white bitch" among other things. His rant was pretty stupid, but his apology is worse: On Jay Leno, Foxx apologized to Cyrus, claiming that he is a "comedian" (maybe 10 years ago) and that his radio show (which he mentions about 5432 times in less than two minutes) is "blue" and not meant to be taken seriously. I'm not sure if plugging yourself in an apology still makes an apology "sincere," but this one seems to be driven by Foxx realizing that people were looking at him in a bad light, and he wanted to make sure to cut that off as quickly as possible. how lame does his new movie look? The story behind it is extraordinary but they are wasting no time overdriving the drama to the point of manipulation...which will greatly heighten in the actual movie. at least jr.'s in it.
I'm glad Mr Foxx apologized; the shot he took at Miley was child abuse clear and simple. When you say or do hurtful things to a child...it's child abuse. Doing it int he name of "humor" makes it no less abuse. Having a daughter himself I'm sure he realizes his error and will keep himself in check in the future. I hope Miley can forgive him.
