While he's still basking in the wake of LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy is keeping busy and moving forward on a variety of new projects. A recent Radio 1 interview suggests that the DFA monarch might well be playing a role in the production of Arcade Fire's next record. While Murphy isn't yet at liberty to speak about his participation, his evasiveness of the topic is a pretty big hint that there's something there to cover up. When Zane Lowe asked him about the "AF record," Murphy coyly responded: “No, no – that’s not something I can talk about yet. The Abercrombie & Fitch record."
Murphy has expressed interest in working with the Canadian supergroup before, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if we see his handiwork on the followup to The Suburbs, which is rumored to drop in 2013. Keep an eye out for more detail on this new-minted collaboration. [FACT]
