As the hype is still going strong for James Blake and his incredible self-titled album, he stopped by Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show to chat, play some tunes, and, in one case, deliver a gorgeous cover. Their two-hour-long stint includes a few Strokes tunes, including their website-destroying new single, along with new singles by Lupe Fiasco, Fleet Foxes, and Ghostpoet. Oh, and, of course, they played several tracks from Blake, including that aforementioned cover. He opted to tackle Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" and the results are...well, Lowe put it best: "What do you expect us to say after that? That was amazing."
Head over to the BBC Radio 1 site to stream the show. Go to the 1:38 mark for the cover.
Does no one else find it odd that Blake played a song, "Where To Turn" by James Litherland, that he essentially covered for "The Wilhelm Scream"? I haven't read anywhere about the original getting credit.
