James Allan Discusses New Glasvegas Album
Glasvegas may have lost drummer Caroline McKay and faced a scare when singer James Allan appeared to go missing, but the band is plowing ahead with its new album. Speaking to the Daily Record, Allan claims the new record is "like comparing a photo of a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old," when stacked up against their debut.
"I went to Santa Monica and got a place on the sand in LA and set up a studio in my house," Allan said. "I basically got the album and demoed it and we're now thinking about where we will record it." When asked about the album, he says: "It's gone from Disney to Levi's. I'm totally euphoric about it."
Rumors that Glasvegas would record with Rick Rubin seem unclear, although his expansive sound would no doubt suit the band, especially as they are likely to further court North American audiences with this new record. As yet, no date has been set for its release.
