Though we are still in the midst of a twelve-month span that has seen the release of Chinese Democracy, the ascent of Anvil, and Queen fronted by someone more flamboyant than Freddie Mercury, let it be predicted here that Michael Jackson will make exactly zero concert appearances in London this summer. Though the singer and AEG Live are facing a suit from AllGood Entertainment, legal action at this point is a moot point. There's no reason to debate where Jackson will appear next when he hasn't given any real indication that he'll appear at all. A triumphant return by the King of Pop would be an awesome spectacle, but there's just not any indication that Michael still has what it takes to hit the stage. Though Michael is currently "rehearsing" in Los Angeles for the upcoming shows, perhaps AllGood should have waited to file until one of the London shows actually happened. Even if the company holds the rights to the next Jackson performance, perhaps the singer will never default on the deal. [Billboard]
