Jackson Appears In Stockton Tree Stump, CBS Coverage Hits Smarmy Irony Stage

Now that we've had nearly a week of reverence for Michael Jackson's death, let the exploitation begin! Though certainly not the first to the party, CBS News gets extra points for finding possibly the weakest, most tangential story it could do about Jackson's death and then producing it with the same tone as a Leno "Jaywalking" sketch. I have no love for the constant, reverential coverage Jackson has been getting on the news of late, but a couple of words come to mind: too soon. [Buzz Feed]
