The Jackson 5 gives thanks, plans 2008 tour
Jermaine Jackson told BBC 6 Music that he, Marlon, Tito, Jackie, and Michael will be reuniting for the first time since recording 2300 Jackson Street in 1989. Jackson, who was England working on a musical about the Jackson family, confirmed his most famous brother'''s participation:
''"Michael will be involved. We want to tour. We want to touch the lives of everybody who'''s bought our records and supported us. It will probably start here first, but it will be sometime in 2008. That'''s our plan.''"
The quintet has not performed together live since 1984'''s Victory and does appear eager to tour in 2008. And because that which does not destroy the Jackson family only makes them stronger, expect a mightier the Jackson 5 this time around:
''"Yes, there'''s been so much going on - getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael'''s trial. We are stronger than ever.''" [BBC 6 Music]
