Say what you want about Jack White; the man is not a slacker. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he said that a long-rumored solo record is near the top of his to-do list, but that the prospect of playing all the instruments himself is at once intriguing and daunting:
"I've never done that. I thought about that. That might be the challenge - to differentiate it from anything else that I've done."
White was quick to add, however, that it would be "a mistake to premeditate anything" and that he could be "working on a new White Stripes [album] in two weeks." Though any White is good White, the slightly annoying part of the equation is knowing that no matter what he promises, his next project very well could be producing the Kenny Rogers' return to greatness.
