''"Misplaced Midwestern brothers''" Bob Dylan and Jack White are both working on a project to record some unfinished Hank Williams' tunes, according to White'''s oldest friend and Steppin''' In It bassist, Dan Suchyta. Dylan apparently got hold of the lyric sheets Williams had in a briefcase when he died and has contacted several musicians''White included''to set the '''lost''' songs to music. White chose and recorded the Williams''' unfinished "You Know That I Know" at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with engineer Joe Chiccarelli. Suchyta, who played upright bass on the song, told Paste magazine: "We did the session in one long day live in a circle with some mics around - much like Hank would have."
Although he couldn'''t say for sure, Suchyta said in the same Paste interview that that Willie Nelson and Norah Jones may also be onboard. [NME / Stereogum]
