After boasting an unexpected Nas remix of "Let Nas Down," J. Cole now can celebrate winning his battle for the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts. The "Crooked Smile" rapper pushed Kanye West's Yeezus off its number 1 pedestal with his sophomore album, Born Sinner.
The album spent its first two weeks at the number 2 spot, finally pushing through with 58,000 copies sold in its third week. According to Billboard, Born Sinner is almost certified gold; the album has sold 439,000 copies so far.
In related news, the Fayetteville artist teamed up with Wale for a new track titled "Winter Schemes," which he released yesterday.
