Vibe R.I.P.

Another music magazine has reportedly bit the dust: Vibe, an urban/hip-hop magazine founded by Quincy Jones in 1993 is closing up shop. Vibe has been suffering this year (and last) due to low ad sales, and the mag tried to stay afloat by cutting its publication schedule to 10 issues a year and raising subscription prices to no avail.

Vibe is the second major music magazine to cease publication completely this year following Blender's demise in March. [Idolator]

Wow, Vibe. I feel like we'd gone a while without one of these major music mags going under, but Vibe is kinda huge. Looks like there'll be more writers looking for work.
