The long-gestating Runaways biopic, which tells the story of the all-female punk band led by Joan Jett and Lita Ford, finally has it’s star in Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, who has signed on to star as Jett.
There’s no word on who else will star in the movie, but the producers (including Jett) are hoping to start shooting in early 2009 to avoid conflicts with Stewart’s commitment to two more Twilight films. As you know, biopics take a while to hit the screen, so this remains to be seen. [Stereogum]
