The news of The Beatles selling a shitload of tracks on iTunes has given way to this news: the fact that The Beatles are the first band in the history of iTunes to get paid directly, as in they don't wait for their label to pay them iTunes royalties. Instead, iTunes cuts the Beatles' company checks directly, instead of giving money first. This is probably a deal that no one else can get, but it's interesting to think of Eminem or some other bigger artist wanting a bigger piece of their iTunes royalties. pretty nutty deal.

What about the town that said NO to the Beatles?
1963, Rolling Stones play a sell out $80 gig in Horsham, England. Promoter books Beatles, but the venues in town say NO. Not in our back yard!
That unique story forms the basis of a new fact to fiction novel about the 60s inside story. Music, blackmail, abuse, romance are all in "Tear My Heart" along with the Stones, the Beat Merchants and the Beatles.
