iTunes 8 causes BSOD for Vista users

Another problem has arisen for those Windows users who have stuck with Vista. Apparently it doesn’t play well with iTunes 8, and instead of being able to make a bunch of ginchy “Genius” mixes, users of both the 32-bit and 64-bit Vista have been forced to either downgrade to iTunes version 7.7 or perform a “clean” install, which first requires removing the program entirely from the computer. Apple has been mum on the subject so far, but is asking users to submit dump files to isolate the problem. It’s not hard to imagine that somewhere, either Steve Jobs or Bill Gates is tenting his hands and laughing evilly. The question is, which one would have the best motive? [Gizmodo]

What is a ginchy "Genius" mix? I have Vista (I know it sucks) what does this all mean to me, will I be stuck with 7.7 or I have to reinstall iTunes?
