Islands Prep New Album For Early 2012
We haven't heard much from Islands since the release of 2009's very goodVapours, but apparently frontman Nick Thorburn has taken time out of his busy schedule to record a new album with his band. The currently untitled record, which will be their fourth, is set to drop in early 2012 on Anti- Records. We're admittedly excited to hear where Thorburn has taken Islands' songwriting-wise after his recent ventures. In just the past year, he has put out an album with indie super group Mister Heavenly, dropped a free solo effort online, and announced a joint project with El-P. Hopefully we'll be hearing a new Islands tune soon. [130 BPM]
