Montreal indie outfit Islands returns with its sophomore effort, Arm’s Way, set for a May 20 release date on Anti-. An mp3 of “Creeper” is available, and shows Islands in top form, though songwriter Nick Thorburn has said that Arm’s Way is a narrative work that truly takes shape when all of the songs are put together. The album’s track list is as follows:

02 Pieces of You
03 J'aime Vous Voir Quitter
04 Abominable Snow
05 Creeper
06 Kids Don't Know Shit
07 Life In Jail
08 In the Rushes
09 We Swim
10 To a Bond
11 I Feel Evil Creeping In
12 Vertigo (If It's a Crime)

i need this album!
me too!
As a Unicorns devotee and not an Islands nut, I'd say it's pretty good actually. I still pine for Alden Penner to get with it on his Clues' record though.
Maaan, those snapshots of the Clues album really got my blood up.
Yes, the Unicorns were the greatest band of the 00's. No, Islands are not as delicious. But Thorburn is still a spectacular songwriter.
the live review at tiny mix tapes was depressing and semi harsh. these guys sorta over?
damn
I've just listen to the whole album, and I must say that I can't wait to see the show at Montreal. It's going to be my 4th show of Islands.
