Isaac Brock speaks his mind

Modest Mouse head Isaac Brock has always seemed like a guy it would be fun to sit down with, have a beer, and shoot the shit. From the sheer torrent of words he lets loose in some his songs, homeboy must have a lot on his mind.
Now anyone else who has a similar yearning can grab a frosty one and head over to Rolling Stone's site. The mag just put up an audio interview with Brock. He talks about his new bandmate Johnny Marr, his hatred of hippies, and recent unauthorized biographies that have come out about Modest Mouse. (Be careful, though--some of the audio links are mislabeled by their content.) There are the sounds of some clinking of dishes behind him, so you can imagine Brock is sitting there having a brew with you. Ahh, are sad, pathetic, celeb-fantasy lives!
In case you've been living in a cave, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank comes out a week from Tuesday (March 20th).
