Part of the appeal of Twitter is the ability to follow the lives of celebrities. Somehow, we managed to survive for years without knowing what Ashton Kutcher eats for breakfast. But not anymore. Rumors about the relationships between Twitter and several of its most prominent users have frequently surfaced, and now some intriguing new information has been published.
The leaked minutes from a number of Twitter strategy meetings have shown that Diddy is receiving “advisor shares” from the company, which seems to indicate that he is being paid to tweet. The notes also talk about adding the hip-hop star to a Twitter Entertainment Advisory Board and a Marketing Advisory Board.
But the folks at Twitter don’t seem to have a very high opinion of Diddy’s business acumen. “It would be hard to explain to him what we would be doing wrong since he thinks about business differently,” say the notes. “Diddy values his contribution higher than we do.” Ouch. And if that wasn’t bad enough, it doesn’t appear as though the Twitter overlords value his promotion of the service. “Diddy not so strategic,” it says.

are we seriously still interested in what Diddy does?
