iRiver makes 4 Gig Clix available

By now you've seen the new Apple commercial for their Shuffle and thought:

  • I'm glad they came up with a commercial without those damn silhouettes

  • What language is that?

  • I wonder if other companies have interesting MP3 players?

First of all, it's French. Second, check out the iRiver Clix flash player - the screen dominates the player, and you actually navigate by squeezing the four sides of the player. iRiver has brought it closer to modern capacities with a 4 Gig player, yours for $200.
Though iRiver has sadly discontinued their hard drive player efforts (the H140 with its great line-in recording was my constant companion for some time) they've continued to pump out innovative flash players.

Yung Daba - even Gil Arenas couldn't get a PS3 (though if he was LeBron they would've hooked him up)http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/wii/nbas-arenas-doesnt-land-ps3-wii-217156.phpOnly way you're getting one is to rob a truck.

If Gilbert was the NBA's scoring leader right now I bet he would've scored a Wii or PS3 though. He's shooting a lot crappier this year.p.s. I'd like to add one of these to my Xmas list:"If No One Votes for Me, I'm Not Going To Do Anymore Blogs!" t-shirtshttp://thehype.wordpress.com/2006/11/20/gilbert-wants-you-to-vote-for-him/

[...] With user stickers, no less. Although my bulky H340 is on its last legs, I still respect iRiver’s attempts at engineering alternative music device (like the Clix, that you navigate by squeezing the sides). Though I still think an MP3 player without a screen is like a car with a blacked-out windshield, at least the S7 will provide an alternative to Apple’s Shuffle. The player tacks on FM radio, 1 GB of storage and SRS Wow HD audio enhancement technology to the usual feature set. It’s currently only available in Korea, but what’s life without coveting unavailable Asian electronics?            [...]
