Australian ad outlines potential health hazards of iPods

Following last year’s debate in the New York Senate about whether to legislate permissible levels of self-zombification for city sidewalks, a campaign has been launched by the Australian Traffic Commission to underline the danger of crossing the street with an mp3 player going at full blast. The posters use Apple’s own iconic “outline” imagery, but with the decidedly morbid twist of having headphone cords frame a dead body. The pictures, while visually arresting, still may be a little subtle given that their target audience is people who don’t look both ways before crossing the street. [Gizmodo]
