According to a survey by Markitecture, only 6% of people said they were likely to purchase the iPhone in the next year although 77% of the people knew about the product. While that doesn't seem like a bad figure for a new product, I would assume that those figures would be considered a flop given all the success of Apple's iPod. According to the survey cost would be the main reason for not buying the device followed by carrier/contract issues. Is anyone reading this planning on buying the iPhone? If it's a better PDA and emailing device than my Treo I might be an early-adopter. [iLounge]
iPhone sales to be lackluster?

I'll be getting one of these little gems because I've bought anything they've released since 98. The only thing that pisses me off is the space in which they've announced it and are releasing it. I think people would be more apt(kneejerk purchases) to buying it on a surprise release. The price, as with most of Apple's products, is an issue of concern too. Thought there could have been a better camera in it as well.
