As AllThingsD has it, Apple's new iPad mini and its upcoming new iPhone will debut at two separate events later this year, rather than the single event that has been speculated about since July. The iPhone is currently set to premiere at an Apple event on September 12, and it won't be until after the iPhone is officially on sale that the iPad mini will be debuted. No date has been set yet, but several unnamed sources are saying the latter device will be unveiled at an event in October.
According to a Bloomberg report, the iPad mini will have a display of "7 to 8 inches diagonally," as opposed to the 9.7 inches of its three full-size predecessors. The Mini is also rumored to be priced at less than $300.
