There's no doubt that Interscope basically has a lock on signing any up-and-coming rap star, but now the label is apparently into signing YouTube memes now too: The label hopped in an signed Greyson Chance, aka the kid who played the hell out of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" in the above YouTube video and got like 17 million views in short order. Clearly Interscope is hoping he'll be their answer to Justin Bieber. The funny part is that Interscope signed the kid before any other label could even get a solid look at him. They aren't going to let anyone else steal the kid's fleeting fame. [Daily Swarm]
