New York fashionistas and sometime music-makers Interpol have decided to crawl out from under the rock that theyve been hiding under, and remind us that they still exist, and are even working on a new album.
The band posted a message on their website to update people on the progress of their third album. Details are pretty scarce since there really hasnt been all that much progress made at all. The main purpose of this message seems to have been to quash all those hiatus rumors that no one had heard about. Heres the message in full:
"We're hard at work on the writing of album three. We've been at it for six months - in case you heard we were on hiatus. We're all very excited about it and think that you will be too. Having yet to record, we can only say that release will come sometime next year.
"We can't offer much of a preview at present, but I can tell you we've got one gem in the works entitled 'The Heinrich Maneuver'. And another that was called 'Pawn Shop'. But that's called something else now."
So, in short, Interpol seem to have written two songs in six months. Talk about work ethic.
