R. Kelly's got a new album coming out, and well, it's been a few weeks since he was acquitted, so I guess it's time for some new controversy. This time, rumors are swirling that R. Kelly may be shopping himself to different labels for his next album, after 12 Play: Fourth Quarter is released on his longtime label, Jive. In addition, African-American activists are calling for a boycott on all things Kelly, essentially calling the "reasonable doubt" that got Kelly off child pornography charges one huge debacle.
I'm on the record as calling Kelly the Marvin Gaye of our generation, warts and all, so I don't think any of this will effect the sales of his new album one bit. Nor do I think the harsh criticisms from the intellectual community will effect R. Kelly one bit, as he clearly lives in his own world.

Unlike Marvin Gaye, I wouldn't miss R Kelly if he was shot in the chest by his Father.
