I went to a screening of it last week. My friend who's a music journalist thought it was pretty good. I was disappointed. Fairly entertaining, acting was good overall and I didn't see any major inaccuracies. Still, something was missing. I would've rather watched a documentary on B.I.G. with people's opinions.

That's definitely a legit criticism. I remember thinking they'd have a lot of the death threat phone calls he reportedly received prior to his murder. They only included one such call in the film.
