Influenced By Dr. Seuss, Danny Brown Is Planning To Release A Children’s Book

Danny Brown, the one and only Michigan oddball rapper, is also father to a 13-year old girl; apparently, this has inspired him to take up an interest in writing. Brown admitted in an interview with Kyran Wheatley of the Australian radio station Triple J that, besides actively prepping his new album (with the help of Paul White, SKYWLKR, and the Alchemist), he is also working on a children’s book, “really about self-esteem in black girls.”

The rapper admitted he wants “it to be real Dr. Seuss-y… The Grinch, Green Eggs and Ham, and One Fish, Two Fish […],” and even went as far as identifying himself with the writer and cartoonist: “I think I AM Dr. Seuss! I’m The Grinch, I’m all his characters come to life in rap music.” Actually, we think so too.
