The Kurt Cobain Converse shoe may have generated some heated debate, but that hasn’t stopped a slew of contemporary indie-rockers from officially endorsing Chuck Taylor’s iconic footwear. The latest Converse campaign features Bradford Cox from Deerhunter, Eleanor Friedberger from the Fiery Furnaces, and Frank Carter from Gallows. The pictures all appear in the latest issue of Blender, and can be seen in this Pitchfork article. Also featured are previous Converse collaborators such as Julian Casablancas, Santogold, and Pharrell, who have also collaborated on a song that you can hear here.
Over on the Converse blog, Pharrell comments on the song: ““Working together on original music that crossed all of our inspirations was completely refreshing and I love the track. As for partnering with Converse, I only wear and support the things that I like. The Chuck Taylor is the golden goose egg.”
