Indian Jewelry Begets Terrible Eagle, Electric Set

There's good news for those enamored of Texan psychedelicists Indian Jewelry. For those who are sitting white-knuckled, teeth clenched in breathless anticipation of another IJ album, there are a couple of side-project releases just around the corner. Terrible Eagle and Electric Set, both of which feature Indian Jewelry's Brandon Davis, have records set to come out on Kid 606's Tigerbeat6 label on March 31.

Neither the Electric Set's Real Magic nor Terrible Eagle's there's-nothing-on-the-cover-so-we're-assuming-it's-eponymous  are likely to alienate Indian Jewelry aficionados, as they don't stray terribly far afield from the latter's Brightblack Morning Light-jamming-with-Hawkwind approach; there are electronic squiggles, fuzzy atmospheres, and processed vocals aplenty to give you that floating-on-a-sea-of-absinthe feel.
